Lower Green Swamp Cattle Grazing Lease

Project Description: The Hillsborough County Conservation and Environmental Lands Management Department seeks an experienced and qualified Contractor to lease up to 7,905 County-owned acres (as an annual revenue to the County) at the Lower Green Swamp Nature Preserve for the primary purpose of cattle grazing operations. The Lease Agreement shall also require and include Contractor spraying and control of invasive plant species, to include “In-Kind Services”; fertilization, fencing maintenance, access road maintenance and improvements, and the removal of feral hogs, nuisance and/or exotic animals. The county seeks a Contractor with an understanding of and experience in conducting large operations on sensitive nature preserves. This contract will be for an eight (8) year period.
