Summary

Lakeland Electric is seeking a qualified contractor to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment services for its low and medium voltage breakers at various power generation facilities. This includes breaker types such as GE Pow-R-Vac, Siemens GMI, Eaton DS, Cutler Hammer molded case breakers, and others, across 5KV–15KV and 600AF–4000AF classes. The goal is to ensure all breakers are operating reliably, safely, and in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards. Responsive, detail-oriented vendors with proven technical capability are encouraged to submit proposals.

THIS RFP SHALL RESULT IN A ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT WITH AN OPTION FOR FOUR (4), ONE (1) YEAR RENEWALS UPON MUTUAL CONSENT.



Background

Lakeland Electric operates multiple generation facilities that depend on well-maintained circuit breakers for safe, uninterrupted power distribution. Over time, even minor degradation in contact surfaces, timing, or insulation integrity can lead to system vulnerabilities or failure. This project seeks a partner who can not only maintain OEM standards for inspection and testing, but also provide detailed reporting, fast turnaround on repairs, and dependable refurb services to extend asset life and mitigate unplanned downtime.
