Lorenzo SHS Mansion and S. Cottage Roof Replacements

Sealed bids for Mansion and South Cottage Roof Replacements at Lorenzo State Historic Site, Cazenovia, Madison County, New York will be received by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), via email at MidState.Capital.Procurement@parks.ny.gov. Electronically submitted bids must only be attached in PDF format– hyperlinks will not be accepted. Note: There is a 20MB limit when submitting attachments via email. If email is not an option for the bidder an alternate address will be provided upon written request to a designated contact. Deadline for bid submission is 10:30 a.m. local time, Nov. 26, 2025. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read via WebEx only at 11:00 a.m. local time, Nov. 26, 2025. The Contract D number should be clearly marked in the subject line of your email, along with the words “BID SUBMISSION”. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a scanned Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of $11,650.00

Note: The original hardcopy bid bonds for the two lowest bidders must be postmarked and sent via certified mail within 48 hours of receiving the bid summary from the Office.

General Construction Contract D006487: The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: Work includes Replacement of the roofs on the Lorenzo Mansion & South Cottage at Lorenzo State Historic Site, tear off and disposal of the existing cedar shingles, replacing with cedar shingle roofing system as specified. Existing flashing to be removed, provide replacement. Examine substrate and supporting structure on which shingle is to be installed for defects that will adversely affect the execution and quality of work. Do not proceed with installation until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected. Engineer’s Estimate range: $197,789.00 – 267,597.00

RFIs received after this due date and time will not be processed.

No pre-bid meeting will be held, the project site will be open for potential bidders on Nov. 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Park staff are not authorized to answer questions. Any information or clarification needed must be submitted as an RFI per the Instructions to Bidders.
