BURKE COUNTY
WASTEWATER FACILITIES
CONTRACT 6.0 – LONG-TERM FLOW METERING
Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 6.0 – Long-Term Flow Metering will be received by Burke
County until 5:00 pm local time on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Bids shall be submitted via email to
Brian Nieft at purchasing@burkenc.org. Receipt of the Bid will be acknowledged by return email. The
Project consists of installation of four fiberglass flow metering manholes, one precast flow metering
manhole, and all appurtenances.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid
Form.
The Issuing Office for Bidding Documents is Duncan Parnell (https://bidroom.duncan-parnell.com).
Documents may be obtained for a purchase price as listed on their website. All payments are to be made
to Duncan Parnell. Prospective bidders must purchase Bidding Documents directly through Duncan
Parnell in order to be considered an official plan holder. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible
for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than
the Issuing Office.
Administrative and scope questions can be emailed to purchasing@burkenc.org no later than 5:00 pm
local time on Friday, November 7, 2025. Answers to all submitted questions will be posted on the County
website (www.burkenc.org/Bids.aspx).
A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 pm local time on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Burke County
General Services at 110 N. Green Street, Morganton, North Carolina 28655. Attendance at the pre-bid
conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
