THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below.
The information gained from this market research will help the National Institutes (NIH) Clinical Center (CC) plan for its acquisition strategy.
Potential Large and Small Businesses shall include business information outlined in the section below as a part of their response.
Complete responses to this notice include the following information:
- SAM UEI Number
- Company Name
- Company Address, City, State and Zip Code
- Company Point of Contact, Email Address and Telephone Number
- Whether the vendor can provide these item(s) through government-wide contracts such as GSA or NITAAC contracts.
- Socioeconomic Status: (i.e., HUBZone, 8a, Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small-Business, etc.) as validated in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All offerors must register in CCR located in https://www.sam.gov.
- Provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described in the Statement of Work.
- Provide a brief history of the organization’s experience with providing similar items/services to the government.
The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center has a requirement for Long Axial Field of View (LAFOV) Whole-Body PET/CT.
Brand Name or Equal restriction: More specifically, Program requires the following Brand/model: United Imaging uMI Panorama™ GS Digital PET/CT scanner. Alternative brands/models that have equivalent and/or superior capabilities will be considered.

Schedule/Period of Performance:
The project will involve delivery and installation of the device at the NIH facilities in Bethesda, Maryland. This system will replace an existing system that will be at the end of its service life by December 31, 2025. The estimated period of performance for the project is a maximum of 12 months following receipt of the completed Authorization Form signed by an authorized representative of the NIH Clinical Center, receipt of any study materials to be provided by NIH Clinical Center, and initial payment.
Contractors shall not reach out to the customer for any questions or clarifications.
All communications must go through contracting.
