Synopsis:

The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) located at the Rock Island Arsenal, IL is announcing the requirement for Personnel Vehicular Support in support of the National Training Center (NTC) Ft. Irwin, CA. This is a sources sought notice. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice is intended to: 1) provide initial notification of the Government's intent to compete the requirement for Personnel Vehicular Support at the NTC, Ft. Irwin and 2)allow potential offeros to submit a notification of their interest in this requirement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquistion approach. This requirement is for Vehicular Support, however there are special requirements for the vehicles. The Government requires thirteen (13) 4X4, half ton, four door model pickups, goasoline powered only, commercial type with standard accessory package that includes power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission and air conditioning. The vehicles must be full-sized, extended cab, 4 door design capable of seating two adults in front and three adults in the rear passenger seats. Vehicles must be V6/V8 gasoline powered engine with Heavy Duty Suspension; Skid Plates to protect the under carriage; and Heavy Duty all terrain 6 ply tires for Cross-Country travel with varing terrain conditions. Vehicles must travel over rough desert terrain, off road hard surfaced roads. Requirements include the standard maintenance package, which includes scheduled services, tire replacement, if necessary and repair of flat tires. Vehicles must b new or less than 12,000 miles when placed on contract. Color must be white, Gray and/or Silver, Tan and/or light brown is required. Vehicles cannot be two-toned, metallic or have any reflective or distinctive markings. All other colored vehicles are prohibited from entering the NTC training areas and are therefore unacceptable. All vehicles are to be kept at the Las Vegas (McCarran) International Airport or close proximity to the airport to facilitate a 30 minute maximum travel time to vehicle rental location. Vehicles must be availabe for use 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. The Government expected usage is 4500 miles per month per vehicle, however the Goverment requires unlimited mileage for each vehicle. The contractor shall ensure that all vehicle registrations and license plates shall be registered to the contractor and shall be maintained for all vehicles.
