The City of Lodi’s (“City”) primary goal is to promote economic growth and prosperity by identifying its regional advantages and implementing its Strategic Vision guided by informed fiscal decision-making. In furtherance of Lodi City Council’s Strategic Vision Goal #2 to raise the median income of Lodi residents to the top 25% of the State of California, the Council has allocated funds towards the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified firms to provide consultant services to complete a long-term economic development strategy.

The City of Lodi is soliciting professional consulting service proposals (“proposals”) from firms or teams of consultants for this purpose. The Economic Development Strategic Plan will outline strategic actions and best practices for achieving Lodi’s economic development vision. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical analysis and expertise of the firm. We are not

looking for a strategic plan that sits on the shelf; we are looking for an implementation plan that encompasses strategies and tactics for effective activation that can be implemented now.

The selected firm will work closely with the Economic Development Ad Hoc Committee and the Economic Development Director to develop a clear action plan for implementation of the Council’s Strategic Vision.
