REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

CONSULTING SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PLANNING & DESIGN TO DEVELOP A LOCAL SAFETY ACTION PLAN AND DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS

South Orange Village is soliciting proposals for Village of South Orange (hereafter “the Village”) is seeking consultant support from qualified firms to develop a Local Safety Action Plan (LSAP) with Demonstration Projects. This plan will supplement the Safety Action Plan being prepared by Essex County and provide a comprehensive approach to advancing safety improvements in alignment with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)’s National Roadway Safety Strategy and the Safe System.

Proposals must be received no later than Thursday, May 29, 2025, 3:00PM attention Ellen Malgieri, Purchasing Agent. Proposals must be clearly marked on the outside “ CONSULTING SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PLANNING & DESIGN TO DEVELOP A LOCAL SAFETY ACTION PLAN AND DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS. Copies of the RFP may be obtained on the Village Website, www.southorange.org .

South Orange Village reserves the right to waive informalities or

irregularities in the proposal received and to reject any and/or all proposals as in

its judgement may best serve the interest of the Village. The Village shall

have a minimum of sixty (60) days from receipt of the proposals to either accept

or reject them.

The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the requirements of P.L.

1975, c.127. Pursuant to P.L. 2004, c.57, effective September 1, 2004, the

successful bidder shall also be required to comply with the provision of the new

Business Registration Law.
