The City of Beaverton will only accept electronic bids for the project via the City's e-Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/beavertonoregon, Project No. 25-156. The project cost is approximately between $ 1,100,000 and $ 1,300,000.
This project will replace approximately 1,700 feet of 6-inch cast iron water main, originally installed in 1965, with seismically resilient 6-inch ductile iron pipe. The existing cast iron main has experienced several breaks in recent years, exacerbated by corrosive native soils, leading to a significantly shortened service life of both the pipe and fittings.
Recognized as a top replacement priority by Water Operations staff, this project will also include:
Replacement of all water service lines between the main and meter
Installation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters
Replacement of all fire hydrants within the project limits
