Summary It is the City's intent to enter into a one (1) year term contract for 38% sodium bisulfite (liquid). Deliveries will be made by order releases from the requesting departments on an as-needed basis.

The successful bidder shall provide and deliver liquid sodium bisulfite in accordance with the following specifications. Bidders shall provide a certified chemical analysis of product with their bid. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN THE BID BEING REJECTED AS NON-RESPONSIVE.

A. Solution strength, % minimum 38.0 as NaHSO ₃

34.7 as Na ₂ S ₂ O ₅

B. Specific gravity, 60 ^o F 1.315 minimum

C. Degrees Baume, 60 ^o F 34.7 minimum

D. pH of solution @ 38% 4.8 appropriate

E. Lbs/gal, U.S. 60 ^o F 10.97 minimum

F. Lbs/gal, NaHSO ₃ 4.17 minimum

G. Lbs/gal, Na ₂ S ₂ O ₅ 3.81 minimum

H. Viscosity (cps) 77 ^o F 2.8 approximate
