  • Summary It is the City's intent to enter a one (1) year term contract, beginning January 1, 2026, for liquid chlorine cylinders. Deliveries will be made by order releases "as required" from the requesting departments/divisions. Emergency deliveries shall be made within twenty-four (24) hours of notification.

PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS

Liquid chlorine shall be 99.5% pure and conform to the latest AWWA Standard No. B-301 for the treatment of water, sewage, and industrial waste. Chemicals used as drinking water additives must meet the "ANSI/NSF Standard 60 Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals" certification requirements.

The Contractor shall furnish a certified chemical analysis of product when requested to do so.

The Contractor must supply proper documentation that their product is properly certified through the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), and the product should be clearly marked as meeting the certification requirements.
