Linear Park Improvement Project RFP Addendum 1

I. GENERAL

A. Invitation

Notice is hereby given that the Macon-Bibb County will receive responses to the Request for Proposals for Park Improvements (original plus 3 copies and flash drives) as sealed bids in the Procurement Department, Suite 308, Procurement Department, Macon-Bibb County City Hall, 700 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, until 12:00 o’clock NOON at the time legally prevailing in Macon, Georgia on  Thursday, January 23, 2025 for Linear Park Improvements for the Macon-Bibb County Engineering Department, Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.

NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DESIGNATED TIME.

Bids will be publicly opened in the Macon-Bibb County Procurement Department Conference Room on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Minority, Women Owned, and other Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in the solicitation process. Additionally, respondents are encouraged to use M/W/DBE subcontractors where possible. The Office of Small Business Affairs will be conducting coaching sessions for interested contractors on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Commissioner’s Conference Room, 700 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Small and other disadvantaged businesses requiring assistance with the competitive process can contact Charise Stephens, Director of Small Business Affairs at (478) 300-2297 or cstephens2@maconbibb.us .

The deadline to submit questions is Friday, December 20, 2024, by 3:00 PM. All questions must be submitted by email only to Lhardwick@maconbibb.us

B. Bid Documents

C. Pre-Bid

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 11:00 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Booker T Washington Community Center, 401 Monroe Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Social distancing measures will be strictly enforced. Site visits will be scheduled on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., and December 17, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Booker T Washington Community Center.

D. Bid Bond

Bids, in order to be considered, shall be accompanied by a bid bond, payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid.

a) This bid security shall become payable to the Owner only if the bidder, to whom award is made, should fail to execute a contract with the Owner and furnish bond and insurance in accordance with terms of the contract within ten (10) days after notification of award.

E. Sealed Bids

Envelopes shall be identified on the outside as
