Limited English Proficient Persons Barriers to Self Sufficiency

The State of Connecticut Department of Social Services (“DSS” or ”Department”) is issuing an RFA for services to assist Limited English Proficient (“LEP”) persons with activities and services to remove Barriers to Self-Sufficiency (“BSS”), defined for the purposes of this RFA as: economic strain, employment challenges, educational challenges, and lack of access to the Department’s services that hinder a person’s ability to become self-supporting due to their LEP. The DSS is requesting applications from Connecticut-based non-profit designated 501(c)(3) qualified private provider organizations to deliver services to assist LEP persons and to remove BSS.The term of the work shall be three (3) years from 10/1/2025 - 6/30/2028 based on funding availability.
