Limerick Township Comprehensive Plan - RFP

Project Description: Limerick Township is undertaking an update to its Comprehensive Plan to guide future growth, development, and community investment. Last updated in 2009, the new plan will be prepared in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code and will reflect current conditions, recently adopted master plans, and community priorities. The updated Comprehensive Plan will provide a clear policy framework to support sustainable land use, economic vitality, infrastructure planning, and quality of life throughout the Township.
The project will include analysis and recommendations related to land use, housing needs, transportation and mobility, community facilities, utilities, environmental and historic resource preservation, and open space. A robust public engagement process will be central to the effort, involving Township staff, elected officials, a resident steering committee, and the broader community through meetings, workshops, and surveys. The final plan will present clear goals, actionable strategies, and an implementation framework designed to guide zoning updates, capital improvements, and future Township decision-making.
