LIFT STATION WET WELL CLEANINGS & RESPONSE WORK

The Town of Lexington will be accepting sealed bids for scheduled cleanings of multiple lift station wet wells. The bid will also require that a time and materials cost sheet for any work scheduled outside of the specific stations listed herein, be submitted as part of the bid. The cost sheet should also list emergency rates for any “emergency” work performed outside of the hours 07:00 – 17:00.

• Bidders must be able to respond to an emergency call and be onsite within 1 hour of the Town’s initial call to have their bids considered.
• Bidders must have previously cleaned the listed station wet wells or scheduled a pre-bid site visit to each station to have their bids for those stations considered. Station visits can be scheduled by calling 803-359-2434.
• Pricing will be based on two cleanings each fiscal year, unless otherwise noted. The Town’s fiscal year runs from July 1st through June 30th. (It is assumed that each subsequent cleaning will cost less than the first, initial cleaning if done within six months of the preceding cleaning, which is the expectation.
• The initial term of this bid will run through FY28.
• Both parties may agree to mutually extend this bid two additional years with an annual increase not to exceed the most recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rate for the preceding 12 month period.

Bids will be received by the Owner in Conference Room C, located on the 2nd floor of the Lexington Municipal Complex at 111 Maiden Lane, Lexington, SC until 2:00 pm on May 27th, 2025, and then at said place be publicly opened and read aloud. Location of Bid opening subject to change. Sealed bids should be clearly labeled with the bid number.

Sealed bids may be mailed to the Town of Lexington, Attn: Laurie Starnes, Post Office Box 397, Lexington, South Carolina 29071.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality. The winning bidder must have, or set up an active vendor account with the Town’s Finance Department within five (5) business days of being announced as the successful bidder. Work inside of Town limits will also require the bidder to have a Town Business license.

The Bid is subject to the Town’s Formal vendor preference requirements.
