The attention of bidders submitting proposals for the above-referenced project is called

to the following Addendum to the Request for Proposals indicated above. The items set

forth herein, whether of omission, addition, substitution or other change, are all to be

included in, and form a part of the proposed Contract Documents for the work.

Inclusion of this Addendum must be acknowledged in the spaces provided in the

document entitled “Request for Proposals 26-024 - Library Roof Drain Replacement -

REBID”. Failure to acknowledge any and all addenda in the above specified bid form

may be cause for rejection of the bids by the Owner on the grounds that it is not

responsive.

This addendum consists of two (2) pages plus two (2) attachments.

Item 1: Questions and Answers:

Q1: How thick is the second level marble flooring that needs to be cored to reach the

first floor level?

A1: Assume 4” for pricing purposes.

Q2: How can we access the drains for disconnect/new work?

A2: Roof hatches provide access to the three wings. A new access panel will be needed

in the original entry area per plan 1/A1.2. During recent drain lining and roof drain

replacement, work was accomplished within the attic spaces without the construction

of working platforms. Prior contractors have not requested any special provisions for

working at the drain locations. Access throughout the attic is by way of plywood and

planks currently.

Item 2: Clarification:

To clarify that roof drains are existing and the extent of new work below them, the attached 2-

page sketch “SKA-001” is issued (Attachment #1). Note limit of new work is below existing

copper drainlines.
