Letnikof Cove Float Removal Bid Opening

Haines Borough Intends to Remove Letnikof Float.

The major scope items for the upgrade are listed below:

• Disconnect two damaged float sections from their existing mooring points.

• Lower mooring chains to the sea floor and mark with buoys suitable for all weather conditions,

secured with lines adequate for future retrieval of chains.

• Tow float sections to southwest corner of Letnikof Cove and push onto the beach.

• Add alternate 1: Pull float sections on to the beach and secure the entirety of damaged float

sections to prevent them from floating away.

• Add Alternate 2. Dismantle and dispose of damaged float sections.

• All work shall be completed without damaging or altering existing gangway, wooden trestle, pilings,

and launch ramp.

• Clean-up of any debris shall be the responsibility of the contractor.

• Restoration of any damaged upland areas to the original condition shall be the responsibility of the

contractor.
