LEGAL NOTICE

Sealed proposals will be received by the Pickaway County

Commissioners at their office located at 139 West Franklin

Street, Circleville, Ohio 43113 until 11:00 a.m., on Tues-

day, April 28, 2026 and at 11:01 a.m., the same day, said

“2026 COUNTY AND TOWNSHIP RESURFACING

PROGRAM” proposals will be publicly opened and read

for the construction, furnishing of all material, labor, and

equipment under a unit price contract for the following, to

wit:

The material and labor for the resurfacing of various Coun-

ty and Township roads with Item 441-Asphalt Concrete,

Item 407-Tack Coat, Item 422 Chip Seal, Item 617-Recon-

ditioning Shoulders, Item 642 Pavement Marking, Item 886

Fog Seal, etc., and other work all in accordance with the

plans, specifications, and bid documents.

All work associated with Contract A & B shall be complet-

ed by September 30, 2026. All work associated with Con-

tract C shall be completed by August 31, 2026.

Electronic Bid packages can be requested from the Picka-

way County Engineer’s Office, 121 West Franklin Street,

Circleville, Ohio 43113, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00

p.m. and at Bid Express. Each proposal shall be submit-

ted on the form provided and according to the instructions

supplied.

Each proposal shall also be accompanied by a bid guaranty

given in favor of Pickaway County, Circleville, Ohio. The

bid guaranty shall be either a bid bond issued by a surety

company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio for

the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier’s

check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the

Ohio Revised Code, on any solvent bank for an amount

equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid

bond and payable to the order of the Pickaway County

Commissioners, Circleville, Ohio. If the bidder fails or

refuses to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after

notice of acceptance of his proposal, the bidder shall forfeit

to Pickaway County his bid bond. The bid bonds of unsuc-

cessful bidders shall be canceled and returned.

The Minimum Wage to be paid shall be in ac-

cordance with the “Schedule of Prevailing Hourly Wage

Rate” ascertained and determined by the Ohio Department

of Industrial Compliance.

Preference on this contract will be given to

Ohio products, materials, services, and labor.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves

the right to reject any or all bids.

This Legal Notice is in compliance with Sec-

tion 307.87 R.C. of Ohio.

This notice is being posted on the Pickaway

County Commissioner’s website located at
