LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received in the Office of the Director of Public Service and Safety, City Hall, 391 Mahoning Avenue N.W., Warren, Ohio until 11:00 AM, Warren time, on
THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2025
FOR THE PURCHASE OF HIGH CALCIUM QUICKLIME, FOR USE IN THE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL CENTER, as authorized by Ordinance Number 13465/2025.
Bid blanks and Specification sheets may be obtained at the Warren Water Pollution Control Center, 2323 Main Avenue S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
All bids must be returned in a sealed envelope addressed to the Director of Public Service and Safety and marked on the outside what the bid covers. A bid bond or certified check must be enclosed in the amount of $200.00 made payable to the City of Warren, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance secured.
If the bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall enter into a contract and furnish a Contract Performance Bond in an amount equal to One Hundred Percent (100%) of the total contract price, in accordance with the specifications.
If the bidder is a corporation for profit, its bid must be accompanied by a photocopy of the documentation from the state of its incorporation showing the name in which the corporation is incorporated. Any time the name of the corporation is asked in the bid documents, the exact name of the corporation, (i.e. no abbreviations, nor variations, etc.) must be used. Any variation from this provision may render the corporation bidder’s bid non-responsive or otherwise not sufficient.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received; and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City of Warren at the time and under the conditions stipulated.
