NOTICE TO BIDDERS OF COMPETITIVE CONTRACT

NOTICE is hereby given that sealed competitive contract proposals will be received by the Qualified Purchasing

Agent of the Township of Hazlet for:

LEASE OF CONCESSION STAND AT HAZLET SWIM AND TENNIS CLUB FOR THE 2025 POOL SEASON, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR UP TO TWO ADDITIONAL SEASONS (2026 & 2027)

Competitive Contract Proposals will be opened and read in public at the Hazlet Township Municipal Building,

1766 Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ on January 15th, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., prevailing time, in the Main Meeting Room.

Standardized submission requirements and selection criteria are on the township’s website

www.hazlettwp.org or may be obtained at the Clerk’s Office at, Hazlet Township Municipal Building, 1766

Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ during the business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Proposals must be made on the Township’s form (except where noted) and must be enclosed in a sealed

envelope and marked LEASE OF CONCESSION STAND 2025 HAZLET SWIM AND TENNIS CLUB.

Addressed to Mary Lynch, Municipal Clerk, Township of Hazlet 1766 Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ. Proposals shall

be endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name and address of the bidder:

Potential vendors are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (NJAC 17:27).

A Lease Agreement will be awarded to the successful vendor under the Competitive Contracting process, in

lieu of public bidding, under the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, specifically N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1 j.

Under this process, the Township can evaluate proposals and select the vendor based on price plus other

factors. Such other factors are detailed in the Bid Specifications.

The Township of Hazlet hereby reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to award the contract to

the vendor whose proposal, in the township’s judgment, best serves its interest.
