Description:

PURPOSE

It is the intent of this solicitation to secure through competitive sealed bidding, the leaf removal services for City properties for the City of Williamsburg, Virginia.

SCOPE OF WORK

The City of Williamsburg Department of Public Works and Utilities, hereafter known as the City, is seeking Contractors for leaf removal services on certain City properties for the City of Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, insurance, proper clothing, and safety items required to accomplish the following described tasks.

Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30

Qualifications:

Ride in City owned dump trucks and pick-up trucks to residential areas.

Run the leaf machine’s hose to vacuum piled up leaves in residential areas.

Use proper equipment such as provided blowers and rakes to row up leaves for removal.

Assist dump truck operators with vehicular operations, such as but not limited to, spotting, reverse direction, etc.

Assist dump truck operators with connecting and dis-connecting leaf machines and dumping operations.

Special Requirements:

The City will determine how many hours/days that assistance will be required each week. On average expect to perform leaf removal operations 32 hours per day, 3-4 days per week. Anticipated schedule will be for a 10 week period starting date to be determined by City’s Streets Superintendent.

The City expects at a minimum four (4) personnel to be available for the work as described herein
