LEAD SERVICE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The City of Lockport will receive sealed bids for the replacement of lead services both on the private side and public side for the Lead Service Replacement Project (26-117). Prospective bidders are advised to carefully review the Plan, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Special Provisions, and Details of this document.

Prequalification: Prior to issuance of Contract Documents, Contractors shall submit evidence of qualifications to the Owner for review and approval. The Contractor shall provide documentation demonstrating experience on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. A minimum of three (3) completed projects shall be submitted. For each project, include: Project name and location, Description of work performed, Contract value, Completion date, Owner/agency name.

The Contractor shall also submit a minimum of three (3) references. References shall include contact name, title, organization, phone number, and email address.

Only Contractors deemed qualified by the Owner will be eligible to receive the Contract Documents and submit a bid.

Obtaining Bid Documents: Plans can be viewed online on the City of Lockport’s website. The Bidding Documents can be obtained from the City of Lockport. Prospective bidders shall e-mail Dan Powers at dpowers@lockport.org requesting the documents. At this time, the requested pre-qualification documents shall be submitted. The last day to request contract documents shall be May 4, 2026.

Bids will be received until Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. local time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.?The bid opening will be held at the City of Lockport City Hall, third floor, City Clerk’s Office, 222 E. 9 ^th Street, Lockport, IL 60441. All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above. Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Lockport, City Clerk, 222 E. 9 ^th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 and marked to indicate the following:
