The Department of Public Works for the Town of Milton, Massachusetts will receive sealed bids for the 2026 Lead Service Line Replacement Project – W25-1 until 10:00 AM local time March 12, 2026 in the Engineering Department on the 2nd Floor of the Milton Town Offices located at 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Blute Conference Room located in Milton Town Offices. Bids received after the time of announced opening will not be accepted. Clearly label bids “2026 Lead Service Line Replacement Project – W25-1”.
The work under this contract will consist of the replacement of identified private and public side lead service lines and the investigation of unknown services with test pits at the curb stop. Replacements will include removal of lead service lines and replacement with one-inch copper pipes, excavations, signage, filter cartridges.
The Contract Time for the Base Bid shall be a total of one hundred fifty (150) calendar days commencing seven (7) days following the effective date of the Agreement, with all on-site construction activities necessary to fully complete the work executed within one hundred fifty seven (157) consecutive calendar days; excluding winter shut down and excluding final paving.
The Contract Documents may be downloaded from the bidding page on the Town’s website at https://www.miltonma.gov/bids.aspx. Printed documents may be obtained during the business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Thursday and 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday in the Engineering Office located on the 2nd floor of Town Hall, 525 Canton Avenue Milton, MA 02186 on or after February 25, 2026.
A non-refundable fee of $75.00 by check payable to the Town of Milton shall be required for each set of Contract Documents printed and obtained from the Engineering Department.
