Description

The Bureau of Community and Children’s Environmental Health (BCCEH) needs an external resource to perform Lead Inspections and Risk Assessments (LIRA) in single-family residences. BCCEH is the recipient of 3 HUD grants that require lead inspections in homes that were built pre-1978. Onboarding an external contractor helps to ensure that BCCEH can meet grant deliverables, leading to a reduction in wait-time for clients who have been qualified for lead-based paint hazard reduction services. The contracted resource would be responsible for ensuring that all licenses and certifications are current according to the State of Texas and HUD requirements. The ideal candidate would have prior COH experience and greater than 1 Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor licensed in the State of Texas. The goal of the Lead Hazard Reduction grant is to decrease the number of children who are lead-poisoned.
