Leachate System Upgrades

Dane County Department of Waste & Renewables (W&R) is inviting Proposals for upgrades to the Leachate Transmission System (LTS) located at Dane County Landfill Site No. 2 (Rodefeld), 7102 Maahic Way, Madison, WI 53718.

W&R is responsible for the management and operation of Rodefeld Landfill which accepts municipal solid waste (MSW) from local municipalities. Rodefeld Landfill is anticipated to close within five years. Prior to entering the post-closure care period, W&R wishes to upgrade the existing Leachate Transmission System (LTS). Some LTS components require maintenance upgrades and/or replacement to improve reliability and to collect monitoring data. An audit of the system will need to be conducted, after which the professional engineer will provide a design based on their findings. Recirculation capabilities and monitoring during long-term care needs to be incorporated into the design.
