LAUREL MARSH PARK PARKING LOT & PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Manchester, Connecticut, herein called the Town, acting by and through its Town Manager will receive sealed Bids for project Bid No. 24/25-57 LAUREL MARSH PARK PARKING LOT & PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS . Bids will be accepted via the Town's eProcurement Portal until 2:00 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids may be submitted prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered.

Work under this contract includes replacement of the existing Laurel Marsh Parking Lot, located at 864 Middle Tpke W (U.S. Route 6 & 44) in the Town of Manchester, and installation of a new, Hockanum River Trail mid-block pedestrian & cyclist crossing adjacent to the parking area. It includes appurtenant work such as removal of the existing asphalt parking lot and fine grading, new driveway aprons, removal and replacement of timber barrier fencing, extruded concrete curbing, installation of a bioswale and infiltration trench for collection of parking area runoff, ADA accessibility improvements including ADA concrete ramps and minor sidewalk repair, modification of the roadway median, installation of pedestal mounted solar powered Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), epoxy resin pavement markings & symbols, installation of roadway signs, minor clearing & grubbing, surface restoration, and traffic control.

The Project Schedule for this project is projected to be completed within THIRTY (30) WORKING DAYS (contract days).

Funding provided by the State of Connecticut Urban Act Grant administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
