Large Print Books for Minnesota Braille & Talking Book Library

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) intends to purchase large print books from multiple vendors for up to 24 months for the Minnesota Braille & Talking Book Library (MBTBL), which provides direct library service to Minnesotans with print disabilities. The vendors who provide these large print books include AbeBooks, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Cengage/Thorndike, and Center Point Publishing.

MDE determined that the vendors AbeBooks, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Cengage/Thorndike, and Center Point Publishing are the only commercial sources for large print books for the Braille & Talking Book Library. This is deemed a single source purchase because these vendors are the sole suppliers of large print books. These large print books are not available from other sources due to being specialized product.
