Project Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice of Advertisement of Bids Project Name: Lansdowne Borough: 2026 Road Program. Notice is given that sealed proposals will be received online via the PennBid Program by the Borough of Lansdowne by Friday, January 9, 2025 until 10:00 AM prevailing time, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the Lansdowne 2026 Road Program Project. The scope of work includes the following approximate quantities of work:
Roadway Milling Work: 4790 SY
6,095 SY of 1.5 mm Superpave Mixture Wearing Course Overlay - Belmont, Glentay, Walsh
395 Tons of Superpave Mixture Base Repair - Belmont, Ablemarle - Midblock (Plumstead-Drexel), Glentay, Walsh
220 CY Demolition of Base Course, Belmont: From Ablemarle - Midblock (Plumstead-Drexel)
ADA Compliant Ramps - Sixteen (16) EA
Paving Markings- Stop Bars - Six (6) EA
Incidental Work
ADD ALTERNATES
Traffic Calming Speed Humps - Three (3)
Stormwater Management Inlets - Two (2) EA
Stormwater Management Piping - 12” HDPE 50 - LF
All Bidding Documents are available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay "PennBid" a fee of 0.003333% or $100-$5,000 of the contract award value.
Each bid must be submitted online and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least ten (10) percent of the total bid. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates are to be used during this contract. Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, and to waive any informality in the bidding, as they deem in the best interest of the Borough.
