No, the contractor is required to provide a $25, 000.00 Fidelity Bond for the entire
project.

Addendum No. 1 for the above - referenced solicitation.
A. REVISED CLOSING DATE: ITB No. 26-002, Landscaping Services, has been revised. The new closing date is
March 13, 2026, at 1:30 PM.
B. The following questions were received, and City Schools of Decatur (CSD) responded to the solicitation
referenced above.
1. Is this currently in-house or through a vendor?
In-house.
2. What is the current spend as it pertains to the RFP, and does the prior scope align?
The current spend is $266k, and yes, the prior scope is aligned. This request is an

6. On page 34, under the scope of work, brush control in native areas and hand watering
are listed as requirements. During the pre-bid walk, it was not clear how this is applicable
to the job scope. Please clarify these tasks and whether to include them in the base
price.
The only site this is required for is Legacy Park. Please include the price for that
location only.
7. On page 38 under D: Maintenance Task - Lawn Care, the frequency is described as
weekly during the growing season and bi-weekly from November to February. On the Bid
schedule, page 48, each property frequency is listed as 2x Monthly. Please clarify the
frequency and provide the number of service visits to include in base pricing.
Weekly during the growing season and Bi-weekly from November to February.
8. Are there any turf areas: i.e. sodded turf at Legacy Park, turf behind Tally Street, or any
other turf areas at any school that require a fertilizer/ weed control program?
There are no turf areas that need fertilizer/weed control.
9. Are there any trails to maintain?
No.
10. Can industry-standard herbicides be used at any of the sites? Are there any restrictions?
Herbicides should not be used.
11. Does the playground mulch need to be certified as play soft playground mulch?
Yes, playground mulch must be certified play soft playground mulch.
12. What type of mulch (color) is required for the existing mulched areas?
Needs to match the existing mulch at each location.
13. How many bales of Pine Straw/Yards of Mulch have historically been installed
system-wide at all schools per year?
Approximately 1500 cubic yards of playground mulch.
Approximately 12,000 bales of pine straw.
14. Do you want mulch/pine straw placed just in front of the buildings or all around the
buildings?
Needs to match the existing layout.
15. Is weekend/evening work permitted?
Yes.
