Description


Douglas County (¿Owner¿ or the ¿County¿) is issuing this Request for Proposal (¿RFP¿) to solicit commercial and technical proposals (¿Proposals¿) from bidders (¿Respondents¿) for the site preparation, demolition and construction of the new Landfill Transfer Station located at 1730 County Services Road, Douglasville, GA 30134 (the ¿Project¿). Capitalized terms in this RFP, if not defined here, are defined in the Agreement (defined below) for the Project.

The Transfer Stations will provide for the transferring of municipal solid waste, recyclables, and other materials to support the County residents, businesses, and institutions in their efforts to manage their waste along with some out of County solid waste and recyclables.

The Project will include the following: 1. Building Demolition 2. Clearing and Grubbing 3. Erosion Control 4. Site Utilities 5. Grading and backfill 6. Foundation Construction 7. Slab Construction 8. Building Construction 9. Electrical, Plumbing, and Drainage systems 10. Fire Sprinkler System (Dry) 11. Truck scales in new transfer station tunnel 12. Reconstruction of old transfer station and construct a new transfer station.

The Project will be funded with SPLOST funds. The Project is required to comply with State and Federal statutes, rules and regulations, as well as those of Douglas County, including local permitting of the project. Additionally, the Project must comply with all SPLOST rules, regulations, specifications, and requirements.
