Landfill Dumping Services

The City of Richmond, Virginia (the “City”), on behalf of the Department of Public Utilities (“DPU”), seeks bids from qualified firms for the purpose of providing landfill dumping services. The services required include receiving excavated material, consisting of rubble and various construction spoils, into one or more of the firm's landfills, on an as-needed basis (the “Work”). Rubble and spoils include but are not limited to dirt, wood, sand, asphalt, concrete, brick, and gravel, as well as miscellaneous construction debris such as ductile iron pipe, cast iron pipe, steel pipe, and miscellaneous other construction debris (the "Material").

The City of Richmond, Virginia, Department of Public Utilities (“DPU”), operates natural gas, water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities within the City of Richmond and the surrounding counties. As part of operating these utilities, construction debris and spoils are excavated and must be transported to a qualified, certified dump for recycling and/or disposal. The City of Richmond anticipated hauling 100,000 tons of various rubble and construction spoils per year.
