Burke County is hosting the 2025 Land and Water Search & Rescue Exercise. The exercise is a wide area search exercise designed to test water and land search and rescue capability to mobilize, integrate, and deploy search and rescue assets in response to a large scale-flooding incident as well as lost persons in flooding and wilderness environments. Burke County is seeking a qualified independent contractor to assist the Burke County Exercise Planning Team with this exercise.
