ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Proposals will be publicly opened and read at the office of the City Manager, 209 South Main Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 at Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. for providing the following:

CITY OF MARYSVILLE
2026-27 LAND LEASE FOR FARMING

The City of Marysville is awarding a two-year lease of crop acres for the following properties:

  1. 12901 Beecher Gamble Road adjacent to the Wastewater Reclamation Facility consisting of approximately 33 farmable acres (34 acres total) located in Union County, Ohio, owned by the City of Marysville.
  2. Innovation Park located between Coleman’s Crossing and Suntra Way consisting of approximately 49 farmable acres (in various locations across this property) located in Union County, Ohio, owned by the City of Marysville.
  3. Raymond Road just south of the Water Treatment Plant at 18000 Raymond Road consisting of approximately 48 farmable acres (55 acres total) located in Union County, Ohio, owned by the City of Marysville.
  4. Dog Leg Road just south of the Upland Reservoir between Raymond Road and Dog Leg Road consisting of approximately 98 farmable acres (117 acres total) located in Union County, Ohio, owned by the City of Marysville.
  5. Brown Road located between Brown Road and Hinton-Mill Road consisting of approximately 72 farmable acres (81 acres total) located in Union County, Ohio, owned by the City of Marysville.

This proposal requires an "all-or-nothing" bid. Bidders must bid on all five leases. The City anticipates awarding to one lessee.

The Bidding Documents are available online at www.bidexpress.com . The City has adopted the electronic bidding process in an effort to make the bidding process more efficient and cost effective for both the contractor and the City.

All formal bids shall be submitted using the electronic bidding process on Bid Express.  Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in any or all bids, to accept the bid or part it deems most favorable to the City after the Bids have been examined and checked, and subject to the approval of the City Manager.  No Bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after being publicly opened and read.
