Land Clearing & Landscape Services Quote

The City of Stone Mountain is seeking vendor quotes for land clearing and landscaping services to be performed at 6751 James B. Rivers Drive, Stone Mountain, Georgia (Parcel ID: 18 126 18 062).  The parcel is a 0.39 acre plot that is currently overgrown and is under an active nuisance abatement order from the Municipal Court of the City of Stone Mountain.

Scope of Work:

The selected vendor will be required to provide the following services:

1. Abatement of Invasive Species:

• Removal of kudzu and other invasive plant species.
  
  

1. Clearing of Vegetation and Debris:

• Removal of all brush, bramble, weeds, vines, small trees, fallen limbs, and any debris.
  
  

1. Removal of Unsafe Trees:

• Removal of mature trees deemed weak, unstable, diseased, or unsafe. This includes trees that inhibit the growth of healthier trees.
  
  

1. Right-of-Way Cleaning:

• Clear and clean the rights-of-way between the edge of the parcel and the street or sidewalk.
  
  

1. Grading and Drainage:

• Grade the parcel to ensure proper drainage.
  
  

1. Erosion Control:

• Install appropriate erosion control measures, such as grass seeding, straw, and silt fencing.
  
  

1. Disposal of Debris:

• Chipped and shredded plant material may be left onsite if mixed into the topsoil, excluding kudzu, pinecones, or any plants capable of seeding during the process.
• All other debris will be removed from property.

Proposal Requirements:

Your proposal should include the following information:

1. Company Experience and Qualifications:

• A detailed description of your company’s qualifications and relevant experience with similar land clearing and landscaping projects.
  
  

1. Project Timeline:

• An estimated schedule for completion, including start and end dates, if awarded the contract.
  
  

1. Insurance Coverage:

• A copy of your company’s liability insurance coverage statement, demonstrating sufficient coverage for this type of work.
  
  

1. References:

• Provide references or examples of similar projects completed within the local area. Include contact information for past clients who can attest to the quality of your work.
  
  

1. Pricing Structure:

• A detailed breakdown of costs associated with the project, including labor, materials, and any additional fees. Clearly indicate if there are any optional services or charges.

Evaluation Criteria:

Quotes will be evaluated based on the following factors:

• Price: Competitive pricing will be a primary consideration.

• Quality of Work: Proven ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Scope of Work.

• Vendor Qualifications: Experience and qualifications specific to this type of project.

• Timeline: Ability to complete the project within a reasonable timeframe.

• Insurance Coverage: Adequate insurance coverage to mitigate risks associated with the project.
