The project is located near FM 491 in between Mile 15 ½ N and Mile 16 N in Hidalgo County, Texas at the IBWC Levee. The project includes the construction of a new pump and gate structure west of the existing 3’x3’ box culvert. Improvements consist of a 9’x5’ cast-in-place box with a permanent vertical pump, a 5’x5’ cast-in-place box with a sluice gate, and an 8’x8’ cast-in-place outfall box. Additional work includes ditch regrading, energy dissipators, concrete riprap, erosion control, and a pre-engineered metal canopy. All work will follow HCDD1 and IBWC design standards and specifications. Approximate 180 days for project completion with a project estimate of $1.95 M
