Description
Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Auditorium Seating, Maintenance and Repair to the Kennesaw State University as further described in this eRFP.
Purpose
The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a comprehensive service contract for the inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of athletic bleachers across Kennesaw State University facilities. This agreement will ensure that all fixed, portable, retractable, and folding seating systems remain safe, functional, and compliant with applicable codes and safety standards. The selected contractor will help KSU maintain reliable and code-compliant seating environments that support athletic programs, events, and public gatherings while minimizing operational disruptions and ensuring long-term asset performance.
Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, supervision, and equipment necessary to perform the following services:
A. Inspection
· Perform scheduled inspections of all fixed and auditorium seating on an annual basis.
· Inspect for loose or missing fasteners, structural damage, broken armrests, writing tablets, seat cushions, fabric wear, and ADA compliance.
· Provide a detailed inspection report identifying deficiencies, recommended corrective actions, and estimated costs.
B. Preventive Maintenance
· Tighten and secure all bolts, fasteners, and mounting hardware.
· Lubricate moving parts as required.
· Perform adjustments to seat backs, seat pans, and spring mechanisms.
· Clean seating surfaces and treat with approved upholstery protectant where applicable.
