General Notice
The City of Abilene (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
KDOT CCLIP Project: K-15 Overlay
KDOT No. 021 U-2504-01
Olsson Project No. K22-00584
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at Abilene City Hall located at 419 N Broadway
St, Abilene, KS 67410, until Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids
received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
The proposed Project includes sidewalk construction, storm sewer modifications, milling and
overlaying of State Hwy K-15/S Buckeye Avenue from UPRR to NE 5th Street and Augustine Avenue
to SE 6th Street and all other associated work as indicated on the drawings and within the
specifications. The work will be completed by December 1, 2026.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of the Engineer, Olsson. Prices for paper plans &
project manuals are as follows: Full Size Plan Set & Project Manual $150.00 and Half Size Plan Set & Project
Manual for $50.00. An emailed PDF is available for no charge. To request plans & project manuals, email
Lauren Smith at lsmith@olsson.com. Checks should be mailed to Olsson, 302 S 4th Street, Suite 110,
Manhattan, KS 66502.
Pre-bid Conference
There is no pre-bid conference for this project.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall
be made payable to City of Abilene, Kansas as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made
will enter into contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance.
The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Owner, and to
reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of
sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award,
refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
