KAPS Software License, Services, Maintenance, and Support

Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) @ Commerce and the Unclaimed Property Division intend to renew an agreement with Kelmar Associates LLC (Kelmar) for up to 60 months to provide KAPS software licenses, services, maintenance, and support. The State is required to hold unclaimed property in Minnesota. KAPS software tracks unclaimed property acquired and held by the State and processes requests from citizens to claim that property. KAPS is exclusively designed, hosted, and maintained by Kelmar.

The Agency determined that KAPS software is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product. This is deemed a single source purchase because KAPS is solely distributed and supported by Kelmar and is not available from other third parties.
