Description of Work
New construction of campground spurs.
Demolition of existing campground sites, spurs, and roadway.
Forest Service will mark site furnishings to salvage and deliver to the Orange Olsen Guard Station 0.4 miles from the Joe’s Valley Campground.
Bringing existing spurs up to current Forest Service Accessibility Standards.
Contractor shall haul excess material to government gravel pit approximately 3 miles away from project site unless directed to dispose of on site by Contracting Officer.
Double chip seal of all existing roadway and new construction.
Installation of new regulatory signs, site identification sign, unit markers, bulletin boards, fee tube, curb stops, and barrier rocks.
New line striping.
Project Location:
The project is located in the Ferron – Price Ranger District of the Manti – La Sal National Forest, Emery County, Utah. Joe’s Valley Campground is approximately 17 miles south-west of Price, UT and the Fisherman’s Parking Area is approximately 14 miles south west of Price, UT. Both sites border Joe’s Valley Reservoir. Fisherman’s Parking Area: Lat 39.307342, Long -111.274215. Joe’s Valley Campground: Lat 39.296770, Long -111.297922.
Place of Contract Performance: Emery County, Price, Utah
Contract Time/Period of Performance: The anticipated start date is July 2025. The contract time will be 120 calendar days.
Magnitude of the Proposed Project: In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
Solicitation Date: The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or after May 12, 2025.
Solicitation Documents: All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or after 15 days of this notice. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition to include amendments. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain a copy from SAM.gov.
Solicitation/Award Type: This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract. A single award will be made from the solicitation.
