TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following question(s) were submitted by potential bidders with answers listed below in red:
Q-5. During the pre-bid it was mentioned that the facility would stay open during the renovation
and all work will have to be completed afterhours. What are those hours and who will provide
access to the building for bringing in people and materials?
A-5. Hours will be from 6pm until 6am. Building security will assist with access.
Q-6. Will there be parking spaces reserved for a contractor dumpster, material storage or
contractor personnel?
A-6. There will not be reserved parking but space or dumpster(s) and layout space will
be provided.
Q-7. What is the required number of days for completion?
A-7. 90 days after NTP.
Q-8. Is the number of days for completion an evaluation factor for the award selection?
A-8. No it is not.
Q-9. Do the handrails on the stairs need to be removed and replaced?
A-9. No
Q-10. What is the existing roofing material?
A-10. TPO
Q-11. Where are the electrical panels?
A-11. They are spread out through the building.
Q-12. Will the county provide tile needed for the floor patching?
A-12. Yes, from attic stock
Q-13. Will the fire alarm pull in the hall outside the exam rooms require relocation and will that
be done by “others”?
A-13. It is not required to relocate the fire alarm pull.
Q-14. Will the contractor be required to remove, store, reinstall and/or replace any existing wall
hung monitors (i.e. conference room)?
A-14. The contractor is to remove and store monitors in a location, within the building,
the owner indicates. It is not the responsibility of the GC to rehang the monitor.
Q-15. What is to be done with existing equipment in the exam rooms?
A-15. There is not any existing equipment in the exam rooms. If there is when the
contract is awarded, it will be SCHD’s responsibility to remove any equipment that is not
to remain.
Q-16. Can we make additional site visits?
A-16. Yes, please contact Mr. Jeff Goodman at (901) 426-0125.
Q-17. Please provide the style of Hot and Heavy 5MM to be priced for LVT-01, LVT-02, LVT-
03, STR-01, and STR-02.

Q-18. What product type, and style, do we need to price for all of the LVT shown?
A-18. See answer to Q-17
Q-19. Please confirm the total riser and tread count for the monumental stair.
A-19. The bidding GC needs to count them, SCHD nor PFI will provide that number.
Q-20. What material is existing on the floor that will receive LVT?
A-20. Sheet vinyl – it and all adhesive will need to be removed prior to installing LVT.
Q-21. RFI-1 appears to be an old specification because Striations was dropped years ago along
with Migrations and Raffia Stream. They do not have this folder in their library.
A-21. Please provide more information.
Q-22. RE: The access control system? I see several card readers on the prints, are there any
specifications for this access control system? Is this a full new system, or is there an existing
system in place this will be tied in with? If it is tied to an existing system is there any information
on the system manufacturer? Is this portion of the project open to bid?
A-22. The existing system is to remain in place.
