Jay Township Well Connection Project - 2025-DW-01 2022-1059-02

Project Description: Original Scope: Construction of two valve vaults (one for Byrnedale Well and one for Kersey Run), installation of required fittings to connect the proposed valve vaults to the existing potable water system, one hot tap near Taylor Street Pump Station and labor for replacement of two gate valves at the Taylor Street Pump Station using the gate valves the Authority has already purchased. The Authority is under Consent Order to complete the project by June 1, 2025.
Update 3/13/2025
The scope of the project has changed, with the flow control valves now being eliminated. There is no more work on Kersey Run intake (Sheet C-2.2 to be eliminated with addendum #2). The flow control valve at the well site will also be eliminated. We will still need the piping shown on C-2.1, replacement of the 4” mag meter, and cut and cap the 12” line going to the storage tank (all one C-2.1 to be issued with addendum #2). Work shown on C-3.0 remains the same as discussed at the pre-bid meeting, with some clarifications to be issued with the addendum. New plans and bid form will be issued as an addendum.
