Janitorial Services for NHPL

The nationally recognized New Haven Free Public Library is s eeking competitive sealed bids for Janitorial Services at all New Haven Free Public Library locations . In FY 24 there were 387,374 in-person library visits. The successful vendor will ensure that critical city resources are made available to the public through janitorial support. The contractor must have a combined total of at least Five (5) years prior experience in the area of janitorial and associated cleaning experience in industrial municipal or institutional facilities. Selected vendor will have to use certified green cleaning materials. The successful vendor ensures that Library facilities are clean to ensure that library visitors can thrive. Vendors will be asked to participate in a walkthrough of all library locations and present to library operations leadership before selection.

The New Haven Free Public Library locations serve as warming and cooling centers during normal business hours during severe weather protocols. The successful vendor will have to remain diligent during severe weather. In FY 24 The New Haven Free Public Library had 2,700 programs which means that janitorial support is required before and after programs in addition to regularly scheduled maintenance.
