Janitorial Services (Countywide)

The County of Yolo is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Janitorial Services on a countywide basis.  This would cover approximately forty-four (44) buildings totaling approximately 535,000+ square feet with major locations in Woodland, Davis, and West Sacramento, as per scope of work outlined in this RFP.

For purposes of this RFP, janitorial services do not include floor care (specifically defined as: any floor finishing, stripping, or periodic spray buffing on any floor surface, nor any deep cleaning of carpets).

The selected Proposer (i.e., Contractor) will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of each serviced building. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, tools, equipment, supplies, cleaning products, transportation, licenses, permits, etc. necessary to provide a healthy, clean and neat looking environment at the frequencies and times specified herein.

IMPORTANT: Upon contract award, Contractor shall work with the Facilities Department and other designated Departments in developing a final schedule identifying the hours cleaning will take place in the various buildings. The work will be scheduled such that it will not disrupt County functions and normal day-to-day operations of the County. Services are to be provided on Monday-Sunday. Services may also be needed during times when a facility is open to the public; in addition, it will be necessary during non-business hours to perform routine and deep cleaning.

The  County may also require the Contractor to provide janitorial services unrelated to the scheduled services. These requests will be made to the Contractor, and added to the Contractor’s schedule and performed, only when requested by an authorized representative of the County.

Proposers who submit a response to this RFP must have the ability to meet all the requirements, including the terms and conditions contained in this RFP.
