Jail Janitorial Services

The Haines Borough seeks proposals from qualified individuals or firms to offer janitorial service for the jail located at the Haines Borough Police Department. Services will be required on an as-needed basis, approximately seventy times per year. Proposals must specify rates and clearly show that the respondent has the ability to meet the Scope of Work below.  A successful criminal background check and a borough business license will be required before contract award.

Scope of Work: The job consists of cleaning an individual cell after it has been vacated.  At no time will the janitor be in the jail area while a prisoner is being housed.  The jail booking area and shower area are included with the cell cleaning.  Cleaning consists mainly of mopping and wiping down surfaces with a disinfectant cleaner.  For more details on the scope of the work, please contact Max Jusi at mjusi [at] haines.ak.us (mjusi[at]haines[dot]ak[dot]us)
