Place of Performance:
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a
sole source, firm fixed price contract to ZIEHM-ORTHOSCAN INC, 14555 N 82nd Street,
Scottsdale, AZ, 85260 for the service repair of the ZIEHM Vision RFD C-ARM system located at the Hampton VAMC, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole provider of the ZIEHM Vision RFD C-ARM system and all associated products and service maintenance. Using any other supplier would result in duplicated costs that would not be recovered through competition.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research has determined that
these items can only be obtained from a single source without an unacceptable duplication of
cost or delay in the continuity of patient care. No solicitation documents are available and
telephone requests will not be accepted.
However, any business that believes it can provide this repair service may give written notice to
James.Risbon@va.gov by 10:00 am EDT on November 5, 2024. Supporting evidence must be
furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide the information below.
All responses to this notice shall include: company name, address, point of contact, phone
number, System for Award (SAMs) Unique Entity Id Number (UEI), manufacturer authorization
letter, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller documentation.
Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government
not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government.
