The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for the purchase of Varia Aria/Eclipse software license and maintenance for the following medical center: The objective of this sole source award is for a firm-fixed-price contract with Varian Medical Systems Inc. This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13.5, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Varian Medical is the only known authorized supplier and servicing agent for Varia Aria/Eclipses software licensing and maintenance for Hardware.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334517 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.
No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time on October 31, 2024. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include the Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, and brief description of your business entity s capability to provide these items.
All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer Audrey.wooten@va.gov who will consider responses received by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on October 31, 2024. Facsimile or telephonic responses will not be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.

If the vendor is required to be on-site for maintenance, the vendor must check in and out with the Contracting Officer s Representative, the Point of Contact, or the Department Head of Radiation Oncology.
Vendor shall work during normal working hours unless emergency services are required. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, excluding federal holidays. Federal holidays are:
