The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source, firm fixed price, contract with Stryker Corporation, headquartered in Kalamazoo, MI, the sole manufacturer and marketer of the Neptune Rover and Docking station system and its Comprehensive Service Plan Agreement.
Stryker Corporation
1941 Stryker Way
Portage, MI 49002
SAM UEI: PJJ1HJS3LQD6
The Puget Sound Health Care System located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for a contractor to provide maintenance and support services necessary to maintain their Neptune 2 & 3 System equipment and Docking Stations in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
Based on market research and previous acquisition history, it has been determined that the OEM, Stryker Corporation, is the only source with the qualifications and capability to perform the required services due to the proprietary nature of the system.
The contract is expected to be awarded under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. This will be a firm fixed price order with NAICS Code 811210 (Electronic & Precision Equipment Repair & Maintenance).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, quotations, or expressions of interest. Interested parties may submit a letter of interest that demonstrates your firm s technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition to include a rationale for why you should be considered.
