Sources Sought (Special Notice)
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing 12-month repair services for an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrophotometer (ICP-OES) (Agilent 5800, model G8018A) and repair for peripherals described in the attached Statement of Work. This sources sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award of a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code – 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and associated size standard $34.0 million apply to this announcement.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement detailing the ability of their service to meet the statement of work included with this announcement.
Responses to this announcement shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to aberry@usgs.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 06/12/2025 at 0500 PDT. Responses submitted by hardcopy shall not be accepted or considered.
Statement of Work
II. WORK REQUIREMENTS
A. Technical Requirements.
1. The contractor shall provide a service contract for maintenance and repair of 1 optical emission spectrophotometer (ICP-OES) G8018A-Agilent, 1 autosampler (model SP4, G8410A) and recirculating chiller (model G8496-24000) over the span of 12 months that includes: telephone support to isolate and resolve hardware and software problems, service center repair and on-site hardware troubleshooting and repair with standard response time. Contractor shall additionally provide scheduled onsite preventative maintenance care of the devices.
2. Criteria for acceptance of Service
Performance will be assessed by how the instrument and peripherals operates over the year and contractor will be rated on how expediently issues are resolved and if there are any delays in service.
B. Deliverables.
1 year maintenance and repair plan including regular preventative maintenance of 1 Optical Emission Spectrophotometer (ICP-OES) G8018A-Agilent along with autosampler (model SPS 4, G8410A, and recirculating chiller (model G8496-24000)
3. Delivery dates for work/product to be completed and point of delivery.
Ongoing service with repairs throughout the 1-year period of performance
