THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a commercial, firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order to Stratasys, Inc.; 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source is reasonably available, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for maintenance services for the PolyJet 3D printer that the Department of Physics owns, to keep the printer in a reliable operational state.
The required maintenance services for the 3D printer are the following:
- Provide phone support during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Provide on-site service visits within three (3) business days in support of preventative maintenance.
- Spare parts must be included
- PolyJet Waste Containers must be included
- Must offer priority service scheduling of a certified field service representative after a problem regarding the PolyJet 3D printer is detected.
All of the above maintenance service tasks are equivalent to the Emerald Care Direct Service Plan, offered by Stratasys, in support of NPS’s printer with Serial Number G7000035.
See the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the specific requirements pertaining to this service.
The anticipated award date of this action is on or before 15 September 2025. The applicable NAICS code is 811210: Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the required maintenance services for the PolyJet 3D printer.
Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
Capability statements are due by 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), August 13, 2025.
