Overview
Summary

The Town is seeking monthly services of an irrigation rust prevention system at Shenandoah Park, located at 14601 SW. 14 Street. The 100-gallon tank shall be filled with FERROQUEST (or approved equal type product) to control iron problems, scale forming salts, and provide a barrier protection to prevent rust stains on structures, concrete, and walls. The irrigation system waters all areas inside the park.

The following services shall be included:

  1. The following services shall be included:

    1. Monthly dispensing of chemical into the tank: Contractor shall dispense chemical into the tank.
    2. Monthly visual inspection: Contractor shall inspect the irrigated area for rust when the tank is filled.
    3. Quarterly testing of the irrigation water: Quality of water shall be tested by contractor to ensure that applied chemical strength is sufficient to neutralize rust. When applicable, the application rate shall be adjusted by the selected contractor.
    4. Contractor shall remove of any rust stains, should staining occur, as needed. At any time that rust is present, the contractor shall remove stains from building walls, sidewalks and curb areas.
